Abstract:
Provided is a charger that can reliably forcibly stop a charging operation when an abnormality has been detected in the charging operation. A mask (43) receives a pulse signal from a DC/DC converter control unit (41) and a signal from a safe primary control unit (421). The mask (43) outputs the result of a logical AND operation of the signals to a gate drive unit (44) and a check unit (422). In the state of information indicating an abnormality in the charging operation not being acquired, the safe primary control unit (421) temporarily changes the output signal from an H level to an L level at a predetermined timing, and maintains the result for a predetermined length of time. During same, if a pulse signal is output without the output of the mask (43) becoming an L level, the check unit (422) outputs an H level signal. The safe primary control unit (421) determines that the mask (43) is not operating normally when an H level signal is acquired from the check unit (422).
