Abstract:
An embodiment according to the present invention controls upper limit voltage for charging an electricity storage element in a chargeable-dischargeable electricity storage element having an electrode body containing a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The control is based on at least one among the charging time for the electricity storage element, the current being entered into the electricity storage element, the temperature of the electricity storage element, and the charging state of the electricity storage element. Metal ions perform the transfer of electric charges between the positive electrode and the negative electrode in such a manner that the potential of the negative electrode does not drop below a deposition potential at which deposits occur on the negative electrode.
