Abstract:
Provided are a check valve and a brake system that enable cost reduction and optimal prevention of occurrence of contamination with dust. A check valve (50) is disposed in a flow path through which an operating fluid is passed. This check valve comprises: a cap (51) which is fixed to the flow path; a plug (52) which is seated on a seating surface (114) provided to the flow path; a first extension part (51b) which is provided to the cap (51) so as to extend from the cap (51) toward the plug (52); a second extension part (52b) which is provided to the plug (52) so as to extend from the plug (52) toward the cap (51) and to be guided by the first extension part (51b); and a spring (53) which is interposed between the cap (51) and the plug (52) and which biases the plug (52) toward the seating surface (114). There is also provided a retainer (54) that is mounted to the cap (51) so as to extend from the cap (51) toward the plug (52) and that is locked by the second extension part (52b).
