Abstract:

A reciprocating body (2) comprises: a valve body (6) including a turning face (10a); a valve shaft (7) which is guided by a guide tube (4); and an annular packing (8) which circumferentially closely attaches to a valve seat (12a) when the reciprocating body (2) is in closed position. The valve body (6) includes a large-diameter portion (9a), a small-diameter portion (9b) extending from the large-diameter portion (9a) toward a primary flow passageway side, and a turning portion (10). The large-diameter portion (9a) has on the primary flow passageway side a flange face (9d) that supports the packing (8) in a state in which the packing (8) is exposed on the primary flow passageway side. The flange face (9d) is formed so as to be able to abut on the valve seat (12a) with the packing (8) therebetween. A recess (9c) is formed in an outer periphery of the small-diameter portion (9b). A part of the packing (8) is fit in the recess (9c).
