Abstract:
Provided is a system for specifying contact duration between communication devices by means of a passive/monitoring method without increasing the traffic load in a network. In a network in which communication devices Cn (n: a natural number of 2 or more) and a monitoring device M are connected, the monitoring device M has: a packet collection means S01 for collecting an ARP packet broadcast-transmitted from the communication device Cn, adding time stamp information to the packet, and storing the packet in a recording device DB; a packet extraction means S02 for extracting the ARP packet from the recording device DB; a communication state specifying means S03 for specifying the contact duration between the communication device Cn and the communication device Ck on the basis of the time stamp information of the ARP packet extracted by the packet extraction means S02; and a communication state display means S04 for displaying the contact duration, specified by the communication state specifying means S03, between the communication device Cn and the communication device Ck.
