Abstract:

Provided is a chlorosulfonated polyethylene latex which is safe to the human body and the environment, and which is used as a latex element of a resorcinol-formalin-latex adhesive. This chlorosulfonated polyethylene latex includes an aqueous dispersion medium, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, a polyoxy-alkylene alkyl ether sulfate represented by formula (I) as an emulsifier, and a fatty acid salt, and has excellent static stability and mechanical stability. In the formula (I), R1 represents an alkyl group with a carbon number of 6-20; R2 represents hydrogen or a methyl group; n is an integer of 2-40; and M represents an alkaline metal, respectively.
