Title:
CIRCUIT FOR RATIONALIZING POLARITY OF POWER SOURCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1997/013308
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A circuit for rationalizing the polarity of a power source is constituted of first and second electrode pieces which are brought into contact with the electrodes of a button cell, a third electrode piece which is brought into contact with the side of the cell, first and second NPN transistors, resistors allowing prescribed base currents to flow through the transistors, and positive and negative output terminals for connecting a load. The first electrode piece, negative output terminal, and second electrode piece are respectively connected to the emitter, collector, and base of the first transistor, with the second electrode piece connected to the base through a resistor. The second electrode piece, negative output terminal, and first electrode piece are respectively connected to the emitter, collector, and base of the second transistor, with the first electrode piece is connected to the base through the other resistor. The positive output terminal is connected to the third electrode piece. Therefore, the cell can be mounted unconcernedly about the polarity, and the voltage drop of the circuit is reduced.
