Abstract:
This class D amplifier (1) comprises: a modulation signal generation unit (120) which generates a first modulation signal (Mp) and a second modulation signal (Mn), respectively; and a pulse generation unit (130) which generates a first pulse (Vp) in which the time density of electric power is modulated by the first modulation signal (Mp), and a second pulse (Vn) in which the time density of electric power is modulated by the second modulation signal (Mn). Here, the first modulation signal (Mp) and the second modulation signal (Mn) each increase non-linearly with the increase in the input signal (Vin), a modulation signal obtained by synthesizing the first modulation signal (Mp) and the second modulation signal (Mn) increases linearly with the increase in the input signal (Vin), and the pulse densities of the first pulse (Vp) and the second pulse (Vn) are less than 50% when the input signal is at zero level.
