Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a spatial light modulator and the like, the spatial light modulator being able to dynamically control the phase distribution of light and having a structure having a smaller pixel arrangement period and suitable for high-speed operation. This spatial light modulator is provided with a substrate. The substrate has a front surface, a back surface, and a plurality of through-holes one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally arranged and passing through the front surface and the back surface. The spatial light modulator is further provided with a plurality of laminated structures respectively covering the inner walls of the plurality of through-holes. Each of the laminated structures includes a first conductive layer provided on the inner wall, a dielectric layer provided on the first conductive layer and having light permeability, and a second conductive layer provided on the dielectric layer and having light permeability. The first and/or the second conductive layer is electrically separated into groups each comprising one or more through-holes.
