Abstract:

The present invention is a bi-directional clutch comprising: a lever-side clutch part (11) for controlling transmission and interruption of rotational torque inputted by a lever operation, the lever-side clutch part (11) being provided to an input side; and a brake-side clutch part (12) for transmitting rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part (11) to an output side and interrupting rotational torque reverse-inputted from the output side; the brake-side clutch part (12) having a two-layer structure in which two unidirectional clutches (50, 51) are aligned in the axial direction, one unidirectional clutch (50) interrupting, by the meshing of serrated uneven parts (23a, 27a), a positive-direction rotational torque reverse-inputted from the output side, and the other unidirectional clutch (51) interrupting, by the meshing of serrated uneven parts (33a, 37a) which are in the reverse direction from the uneven parts (23a, 27a), a negative-direction rotational torque reverse-inputted from the output side.
