Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to provide a negative-electrode active material that makes it possible to reduce the irreversible capacity of a lithium-ion battery. This coated negative-electrode active material for use in a lithium-ion battery is characterized in that at least part of the surface of a granular negative-electrode active material for use in a lithium-ion battery is coated with a coating agent and the coated negative-electrode active material is doped with lithium and/or lithium ions.
