Abstract:
A coating method which applies a coating liquid supplied from an enclosed supply system onto an object of coating by means of an applicator in a thickness larger than a final coating thickness, and then removes an excessive coating liquid by a scratching -off means for recovery to thereby obtain a coating of a preset coating amount. A supply flow volume Qa of the coating liquid supplied to the applicator (6) from the enclosed supply system (1a, 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a) and a recovered time-average flow volume Qb' of the removed and recovered coating fluid are measured to control an actual coating amount based on the supply flow volume Qa and the average recovered flow volume Qb'. A coating thickness after the scratching-off of an excessive coating liquid is measured by a non-contact type measuring instrument, and a lap angle of a coating rod is changed according to the measured result to regulate a coating amount to be removed and thereby control an actual coating amount. A production control is possible even with a trace amount of coating and a uniform coating can be constantly ensured to enhance productivity.
