Abstract:
Provided are a codebook design method and a codebook design apparatus applicable to a 3D MIMO system. The codebook design method comprises: constructing a global codebook and a local codebook; searching for a strongly correlated global codebook to determine an optimum global codeword; searching for a weakly correlated local codebook to determine an optimum local codeword; and generating a final codeword according to the optimum global codeword and the optimum local codeword, and feeding back the final codeword to a base station. By means of the technical solution of the disclosure, the feedback overhead can be further reduced on the premise of guaranteeing performance, and the complexity of pre-coding and search is reduced, thus achieving better performance promotion.
