Title:
COLD-ROLLED STEEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/119078
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Cold-rolled steel that resists heat spots and wear well is provided. Said cold-rolled steel contains 0.03-0.12% carbon, 0-1.0% silicon, 0.2-0.8% manganese, more than 0% but no more than 0.03% phosphorus, more than 0% but no more than 0.03% sulfur, 0.04-0.3% titanium, and more than 0% but no more than 0.05% aluminum. The remainder comprises iron and unavoidable impurities. The percentages of carbon, silicon, manganese, and aluminum satisfy the relation 5C - Si + Mn −1.5Al < 1. The mean grain diameter of titanium carbide is between 20 and 100 nm, inclusive. The cross-sectional hardness of this cold-rolled steel is between 200 and 400 HV, inclusive. Finely and uniformly dispersing titanium carbide throughout this cold-rolled steel improves the resistance thereof to heat spots and wear.
