Abstract:
A color correction method for creating an output image under illumination conditions different from those for an input image by correcting the input image, comprising a step for detecting the region of a specific object from the input image and extracting color information of that region, a step for restoring spectroscopic distribution of illumination in the input image by using the extracted color information and surface reflectivity of a previously specified object, a step for calculating spectroscopic distribution of illumination in the output image by using the restored spectroscopic distribution of illumination and specified spectroscopic distribution of target illumination, and a step for calculating color information of each pixel in the output image based on the color information of each pixel in the input image, restored spectroscopic distribution of illumination in the input image, and the calculated spectroscopic distribution of illumination in the output image.
