Abstract:
A color enhancement film for use in a color display apparatus, and a manufacturing method thereof. The color enhancement film comprises a transparent base film (801) and a color enhancement coating coated thereon. A wavelength conversion material (803) is discretely distributed in the color enhancement coating. The wavelength conversion material (803) can convert at least a part of light in a first preconfigured wavelength range into light in a second preconfigured wavelength range, so as to increase purity of three primary colors including red, green, and blue in a backlight source of the display apparatus. Therefore, the embodiment can expand display color gamut, and enhance color accuracy of the display apparatus. The color enhancement film can be combined with a functional optical film to provide functions in a lighting module of the display apparatus, wherein the functions include a light diffusion function, a brightness enhancement function, and an eye strain relief function. Also provided is the manufacturing method of the color enhancement film.
