Title:
COLORANT FOR FIBRES CONTAINING KERATIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2001089460
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a colorant for fibres containing keratin, in particular human hair. Said colorant contains at least one quaternised heteroaromatic aldehyde and/or a quaternised heteroaromatic ketone of formula (I), wherein R<1> represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, C1-C4 sulfoalkyl group, C1-C4 carboxyalkyl group, aryl group or heteroaryl group, R<2> and R<3> represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a C1-C4 alkoxy group, a C1-C4 hydroxyalkoxy group, a C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl group, a hydroxy group, a nitro group or an amino group, which can be substituted by C1-C4 alkyl groups that can also form a heterocyclic ring together with the nitrogen atom, whereby the two groups R<2> and R<3> can together form a condensed aromatic ring, R<4> represents a C1-C4 alkyl group, C2-C4 alkenyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group, C1-C4 carboxyalkyl group or C1-C4 sulfoalkyl group, Y represents an NR<5> group, whereby R<5> is a C1-C4 alkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group, an oxygen atom, sulphur atom or an optionally substituted methylene group, and Z<-> represents an anion, in particular halide, benzene sulphonate, p-toluene sulphonate, methane sulphonate, methyl sulphate, ethyl sulphate, trifluoromethane sulphonate, perchlorate, sulphate, hydrogen sulphate, tetrafluoroborate or tetrachlorozincate. The compounds of formula (I) can also be present as acetals or oximes.
