Abstract:
A commodity identification method and device, the method comprising: obtaining an image of a commodity (101); performing multiple stages of detections on the image to determine a label area of the commodity (102), an image area corresponding to a previous stage of detection being greater than an image area corresponding to a next stage of detection; and identifying information in the label area to determine information of the commodity (103). By obtaining an image of a commodity and performing multiple stages of detections on the image, automatic commodity identification is implemented and the efficiency is improved; in addition, numerous commodities can be dealt with, and therefore the costs are reduced.
