Abstract:
A communication adapter (2) for connecting a home electrical appliance (4) to a network (8) comprises a first interface unit (12) constituted so as to connect to the network (8), a second interface unit (14) constituted so as to connect to the home electrical appliance (4), and a control device (16). The control device (16) is constituted so as to transmit first data given from the network (8) via the first interface unit (12) to the home electrical appliance (4) via the second interface unit (14) in accordance with a first communication protocol, and constituted so as to receive second data given from the home electrical appliance (4) via the second interface unit (14) in accordance with a second communication protocol that is different from the first communication protocol.
