Abstract:
Modulator circuits (101-104) modulate four user transmission signals (using basic slots with pilot symbols inserted periodically in transmission data), or a control signal including a pilot signal and three user transmission signals (using basic slots with no pilot symbol inserted). Phase-shift circuits (105-108) vary the phases of the output signals from the modulator circuits (101-104) according to the total number of users. An adder circuit (I109) combines the in-phase components of the output signal from the phase-shift circuits (105-108), and an adder circuit (Q110) combines the quadrature components of the output signal from the phase-shift circuits (105-108). A radio section (115) modulates the output signal from the adder circuit (I109) and the adder circuit (Q110) to produce a radio signal and amplifies it.
