Abstract:
A communication device according to one embodiment of the present invention is an operational communication device for externally providing a redundant configuration with another communication device that is standing by, and relaying data between information processing terminals through a network. The operational communication device is equipped with: first circuit substrate units provided with a port for transmitting data to and receiving data from the network, and located on the front surface of the communication device; a plurality of first connectors connected to one or more of the first circuit substrate units; a second connector capable of at least accommodating a band which the first circuit substrate units accommodate, and connected via a cable to the other communication device which is standing by; a second circuit substrate unit provided with a cross bus switch for selectively outputting data to the first connectors and to the second connector, which are data output destinations; and a ventilation control unit for controlling the flow of air flowing between the exterior of the communication device and each of the first and second circuit substrate units.
