Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a superconducting wire material substrate for producing a superconducting wire material having excellent superconductive characteristics, and a production method for the substrate. In the superconducting wire material substrate, the orientation of the metal crystals in the outermost layer has a c-axis alignment rate of 99% or greater and a ΔΦ of 6° or smaller, and the proportion of surface area whereof the crystal orientation is offset from (001) [100] by 6° or smaller is 6% or less per unit surface area.
