Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce a memory capacity for storing address information and other information relating to I2C communication devices and reduce the number of encoders and decoders. [Solution] This communication device for enabling I2C communication between a first I2C communication device and a second I2C communication device connected to a communication partner device comprises: an encoder that generates Header Packet Data containing a target ID of the communication partner device and I2C Packet Data containing a slave address and offset address of the second I2C communication device; a communication unit that transmits a transmission packet containing the Header Packet Data and I2C Packet Data generated by the encoder to the communication partner device using a TDD communication method, and receives a reception packet from the communication partner device using said TDD communication method; and a decoder that generates Header Packet Data and I2C Packet Data from the received packet.
