Abstract:

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a communication method and apparatus, and a device, which can be applied to a system integrating 5G communication and satellite communication. The communication method may comprise: a terminal device receives a radio resource control (RRC) connection release message from a first network device, the RRC connection release message being used for instructing the terminal device to release the RRC connection between the terminal device and the first network device; and according to the RRC connection release message, the terminal device releases the RRC connection with a delay of a first duration, wherein the first duration is determined at least according to a first transmission delay, and the first transmission delay is the transmission delay from the terminal device to a second network device. In the present disclosure, the first duration is determined according to the transmission delay from the terminal device to the second network device (such as a satellite, a ground base station, a reference point, etc.) and thus can adapt to the communication distance from the terminal device to the second network device, such that the execution of the subsequent RRC connection release procedure can be guaranteed for an NTN communication system.
