The present application discloses a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receives first indication information from a network device, the first indication information being used to indicate a first time interval, and the first time interval being the interval between an end time of a first signal and a start time of a second signal; after the first signal, the terminal device receives or sends the second signal at least at the first time interval, wherein the first signal and the second signal are sent in the same BWP, a first filter parameter corresponding to the first signal is different from a second filter parameter corresponding to the second signal, and the first time interval is related to the switching duration of the terminal device. When that the filter parameters are switched, the network device determines the first time interval by integrating the switching duration of the terminal device, so as to ensure as much as possible that the duration between the first signal and the second signal is sufficient for the terminal device to adapt to a new filter parameter, thereby reducing the probability that the second signal cannot be correctly received.
