Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a communication method and a communication apparatus, which are used for improving the accuracy of a CQI determined by a terminal device in an application scenario where data streams received by the terminal device are from different network devices, such that the accuracy of a downlink channel quality, which is subsequently obtained by the network device on the basis of the CQI, is improved, thereby improving the communication efficiency. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving first configuration information, wherein the first configuration information comprises configuration information of n CSI-RSs, and n is an integer greater than 1; the terminal device receiving the n CSI-RSs on the basis of the first configuration information; and the terminal device determining a CQI according to m CSI-RSs and mapping relationships, wherein the CQI is used for indicating the channel quality of a PDSCH, the mapping relationships are mapping relationships between a data stream of the PDSCH and CSI-RS ports corresponding to the m CSI-RSs, the m CSI-RSs are included in the n CSI-RSs, m is an integer greater than 1, and m is less than or equal to n.
