Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a communication method and apparatus, which can realize cross-cell/cross-base-station handover of a remote UE in a U2N relay scenario. The method comprises: a first terminal device receiving first indication information, which is sent by a first network device, wherein the first indication information is used for instructing the release of a first sidelink between the first terminal device and a second terminal device, the second terminal device communicates with the first network device by means of a wireless network, the second terminal device provides a function which is required for performing communication between the first terminal device and the first network device, and the first cell is a cell that is served by the first network device; the first terminal device releasing the first sidelink according to the first indication information; and the first terminal device receiving first configuration information, which is sent by the first network device, wherein the first configuration information is used for handover of the first terminal device from the first cell to a second cell.
