Abstract:
The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. The communication method introduces a first RLC entity to transmit a network coding redundancy packet, introduces a second RLC entity to transmit a network coding original packet, and can support transmission of the network coding redundancy packet based on demand. The communication method comprises: a terminal device receives scheduling information from an access network device, obtains a network coding redundancy packet by means of a first RLC entity, generates a first TB on the basis of the network coding redundancy packet, and sends the first TB to the access network device, wherein the first TB comprises the network coding redundancy packet. In this way, the access network device schedules a network coding redundancy packet by means of scheduling information only when the network coding redundancy packet needs to be scheduled, thereby avoiding waste and reducing unnecessary redundancy transmission.
