Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a communication method, first station (STA), second STA, and access point (AP). The method comprises: a first STA determines a first basic service set (BSS) color; when the first STA performs device-to-device (D2D) transmission with a second STA, the first STA generates a data frame comprising the first BSS color; and the first STA sends to the second STA the data frame. By carrying the first BSS color in a D2D data frame, the present invention enables other receiving stations in the BSS of the first STA and the second STA to determine, upon receiving the data frame, that the frame is a frame from a neighboring cell. In this way, the present invention overcomes the problem of a non-HE AP scenario in which a non-HE AP is unable to configure a BSS color of an HE STA, and also enhances spatial multiplexing in an HE AP scenario, thus improving system efficiency and throughput.
