Abstract:
A communication relay apparatus that relays data between a plurality of segments includes: a transmission/reception unit that receives the data from the plurality of segments and transmits the data to the plurality of segments; a transmission/reception control unit that controls the transmission-reception unit; a memory unit that has a relay buffer that temporarily stores the data received by the transmission/reception unit; and a buffer monitoring unit that calculates a usage rate of the relay buffer. In addition, when the usage rate of the relay buffer calculated by the buffer monitoring unit is greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value, the transmission/reception control unit controls data transmission or reception performed by the transmission/reception unit so that traffic congestion can be reduced.
