Title:
COMMUNICATION RELAY DEVICE, REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE, SYSTEM, AREA CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/215487
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an airborne communication relay device (HAPS) which is capable of implementing dynamic area control accommodating changes in the distribution of terminal devices in a service area composed of a plurality of cells formed toward the ground, and which can suppress an increase in the time required for relevant area optimization. The midair-residing communication relay device (HAPS) estimates the positions of a plurality of terminal devices located in a service area; divides the service area into a plurality (M) of sub-areas including a plurality of cells; optimizes, for each sub-area, a plurality (L) of types of antenna parameters of a service link antenna on the basis of a result of estimation of the positions of the plurality of terminal devices; and applies, to the service link antenna, optimum values of the plurality (L) of types of antenna parameters after the optimization for each sub-area is completed for all of the plurality (M) of sub-areas.
