Abstract:

Provided are a communication selection method based on relay communication and direct connection communication, and a device. The method comprises: receiving a first request sent by a requesting node, wherein the first request is used for requesting for relay auxiliary information, and the first request comprises trajectory information of each terminal device in at least one terminal device in a preset area; determining the relay auxiliary information according to the trajectory information of each terminal device; and sending the relay auxiliary information of each terminal device to the requesting node, wherein the relay auxiliary information is used by the terminal device to select relay communication or direct connection communication. A change in a communication environment of each terminal device in the preset area is predicted to obtain relay auxiliary information of each terminal device, such that each terminal device can perform subsequent selection of relay communication or direct connection communication. As such, the frequent switching of the terminal device between direct connection communication and relay communication can be reduced, thereby reducing signaling overheads.
