Abstract:
A communication system that uses a multi-core fiber equipped with three or more nodes and provided with a plurality of cores in at least some of the inter-node-connecting intervals, wherein the nodes connected to the multi-core fiber are equipped with a connector which: inserts/branches a signal into/from a core exclusively assigned to communication between a given node and another node; and/or relays a signal transmitted by a core, which is assigned to communication between other nodes, in the multi-core fiber connected to the given node.
