This communication system conforms to a standard in which a resource of a request transmitted from this communication module to this server is not specified. The communication module transmits, to a corresponding server, a notification that indicates a change in a resource for which monitoring by the server has been requested. The server executes, on the basis of reception of the notification, a software update-related process.
