[Problem] To suppress increases in the network communications load caused by an increase in messages requesting information. [Solution] A communications system, a gateway device, and a communications control method, whereby when a message requesting information and a response message thereto are sent and received between communications devices (N1-Nn) being the information request sources and an information provision source (Nx) in a network (NW), via a communications device (1): the communications device (1) stores the information obtained from the response message in a response information storage unit (4); and, if at least some of the same information has been requested by any communications device, a control unit (5) creates a response message including the requested information and responds.
