Abstract:
The present invention is a comparison/search system that has: a first imaging means that obtains an image which includes a prescribed site and an outline of a comparison subject which is a legitimate product or an object being managed; a first characteristic calculation means that calculates, from the image of the comparison subject obtained with the first imaging means, the characteristics of the shape and the position of the outline of the comparison subject, with the prescribed site as a reference; a recording means that records the characteristics of the shape and the position of the outline of the comparison subject which is a legitimate product, the characteristics having been calculated by the first characteristic calculation means; a second imaging means that obtains an image which includes a prescribed site and an outline of a comparison subject which is an object being authenticated; a second characteristic calculation means that calculates, from the image of the comparison subject obtained with the second imaging means, the characteristics of the shape and the position of the outline of the comparison subject, with the prescribed site as a reference; and a comparison means that compares the characteristics of the shape and the position of the outline of the comparison subject which is a legitimate product or an object being managed and the characteristics of the shape and the position of the outline of the comparison subject which is an object being authenticated.
