Abstract:

A component mounting system 1 is provided with mounting apparatuses 10, and a feeder 20 that supplies the mounting apparatuses 10 with components 70. The feeder 20 can be attached to the plurality of mounting apparatuses 10, and is provided with a control unit 201, which controls operations of the feeder 20 corresponding to the mounting apparatus 10 to which the feeder is attached, and a storage unit 202, which is capable of storing identification information for identifying the mounting apparatuses 10. In the cases where the feeder 20 is attached to, among the mounting apparatuses 10, the mounting apparatus 10 identified by means of the identification information for identifying the mounting apparatuses 10, said identification information having been stored in the storage unit 202, the control unit 201 of the feeder 20 brings the system into a state wherein the components can be supplied by means of the feeder 20. In the case where the feeder 20 is attached to the mounting apparatus 10 not identified by means of the identification information for identifying the mounting apparatus 10, said identification information having been stored in the storage unit 202, the control unit 201 of the feeder 20 brings the system into a state wherein the components cannot be supplied by means of the feeder 20.
