Title:
COMPOSITE CARBON PARTICLE AND LITHIUM-ION SECONDARY CELL USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/057690
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A composite carbon particle for a negative electrode in a lithium-ion secondary cell, the composite carbon particle having: a core particle comprising a carbonaceous material obtained by heat-treating, at a temperature of 250°C or less, petroleum coke having a grindability index (HGI value) of 30 to 60 (measured according to ASTM D409); and a covering layer comprising a carbonaceous substance obtained by heat-treating an organic compound at a temperature of 1000 to 2000°C. The 50% particle diameter (D50) with an accumulation particle size distribution determined on a volume basis measured by laser diffraction is 1 to 30 μm.
