Title:
COMPOSITE FIBER, BRISTLE MATERIAL USING COMPOSITE FIBER AND FOR USE IN BRUSH, AND BRUSH USING COMPOSITE FIBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/130899
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A composite fiber formed from at least two types of resin phase. The composite fiber is characterized in that, at a fiber horizontal cross-section, each resin phase section formed from the at least two types of resin phase is formed to extend in a spiral shape from a fiber outer circumferential surface toward a center section. The composite fiber is also characterized in that the spiral shapes are formed such that the number of resin phase sections crossed by at least one imaginary straight line that passes through the center of the fiber horizontal cross-section is 3 or more. A bristle material that uses said composite fiber and that is for a brush, and a brush that uses said composite fiber. The present invention can provide a composite fiber that has the novel functionality and design properties of the embodiment wherein each resin phase section extends in a spiral shape at a horizontal cross-section and can be developed in a variety of fields. In particular, the present invention makes it possible to configure a bristle material that has a unique feel, design properties, cleaning properties, dirt-wiping performance, foaming performance, etc. that are suitable for toothbrushes and other brushes.
