Abstract:

A composite separator and a preparation method therefor, and a secondary battery. The composite separator comprises: a base membrane; a gap cladding coating, which is formed on one side of the base film, wherein the gap cladding coating comprises a mixed gap cladding coating and a bottom coating, the bottom coating is arranged between the mixed gap cladding coating and the base film, and the bottom coating and the mixed gap cladding coating are prepared in one instance; and a modified coating, which is formed on the other side of the base film. In the composite separator, an electrolyte retention area is prepared in the separator by using gap cladding, thereby improving the uniform distribution of an electrolyte and the wettability for the electrolyte, and solving the problem of traditional separators being difficult to meet the requirements of the increasingly long service life of lithium-ion batteries because the separators are poor in the wettability for an electrolyte and there are a lean electrolyte region and a rich electrolyte region.
