Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition for diagnosis of fungal infections, the composition comprising 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluorosorbitol([18F]FDS) as an active ingredient able to allow the rapid and effective diagnosis of fungal infections, which has been difficult to diagnose with microbiological techniques and general imaging techniques, and the acquisition of diagnostic images specific for invasive fungal infections.
