Abstract:

This polymerizable composition has good solubility, an optically anisotropic body which uses the polymerizable composition is not prone to discoloration and has excellent heat resistance and lightfastness, and the present invention furthermore addresses the problem of providing a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition, and an optically anisotropic body which uses the polymer. The present invention is a polymerizable composition containing a compound having at least one mesogenic group and satisfying the expression represented by (expression 1), the polymerizable composition satisfying the expression represented by (expression 2): 0.5 ≤ YI/∆n ≤ 500.
