Abstract:
The present application provides an agent or composition for birds (for example, chickens), the agent or the composition containing, as an active ingredient, viable cells or dead cells of Lactobacillus plantarum (International Deposition Number NITE BP-03418) and being for preventing enteritis or necrotizing enteritis, for suppressing inflammation by enteritis or necrotizing enteritis, for suppressing efficiency decrease in feed conversion or weight decrease, or for suppressing enterovirus infection. The present application also provides a method that includes the supply of the agent or the composition to birds (for example, chickens).
