Abstract:

The present invention provides a composition for preventing, improving or treating cachexia comprising kimchi. The composition according to the present invention has a significant effect on the prevention, improvement and treatment of cachexia by inhibiting weight loss in cachexia, minimizing weight loss despite low food intake, reducing the size and volume of a tumor that is one of the causes of cachexia, regulating inflammatory factors, and regulating muscle atrophy related protein expression.
