Title:
COMPOSITION FOR REGENERATIVE TREATMENT OF CARTILAGE DAMAGE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/200237
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing a granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an active ingredient for regenerative treatment of cartilage damage. More specifically, the GM-CSF is characterized by being at least one selected from the group consisting of a GM-CSF full-length gene, a GM-CSF gene subdomain, proteins expressed by the genes, and cells transformed to express the genes. In addition, the composition is characterized by being administered by treating the transplant at the time of bone marrow transplantation (BMT) or stem cell transplantation. Therefore, the GM-CSF is expected to be applicable as a regenerative treatment agent of damaged cartilage.
