Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for treating hypertrophic scars and keloids, comprising a benzhydryl thioacetamide compound as an active ingredient. The benzhydryl thioacetamide compound inhibits cell proliferation and an increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentration, in fibroblasts, keratinocytes and vascular endothelial cells that are involved in skin fibrosis, and inhibits the synthesis of collagen, which is the extracellular matrix, and thus has the effect of effectively treating intractable hypertrophic scars and keloids.
