Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, prepared by applying an electric stimulus, for treatment of a cartilage-related disease and a preparation method therefor. Specifically, the composition of the present invention can be prepared in the manner of applying only an electric stimulus to a stem cell aggregate, without introducing externally derived growth factors, etc. The composition has the advantage of remarkably reducing medical expenses because it can be prepared without using expensive growth factors. In addition, the composition for treatment of a cartilage-related disease according to the present invention does not express the mature chondrocyte marker COL2, compared to the conventional cells prepared for treating a cartilage-related disease, and thus has the advantage of being lower in immune-related side effects than mature cells.
