Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a methyl-added compound, the method comprising a step for methylating a dinitrile compound represented by formula (1) in the presence of potassium carbonate and dimethyl carbonate to obtain the methyl-added compound represented by formula (2). (In the formula, R1-R4 are each independently hydrogen or methyl, and 1 to 3 among R1-R4 are methyl.)
