Abstract:
The disclosure of the present invention relates to a compression encoding device, a compression encoding method, a decoding device, a decoding method and a program which are able to provide no-loss compression technology with a higher compression rate. An encoding unit of the compression encoding device references a first conversion table to convert M bits of a △Σ-modulated digital signal to N bits (M>N), and if conversion to N bits is not possible with the first conversion table, references a second conversion table to convert to N bits. When P is the number of bit patterns of the N bits, the first conversion table is a table that stores (P-1) number of codes with the highest occurrence frequency in respect to past bit patterns, and the second conversion table is a table that stores (P-1) number of codes with the next highest occurrence frequency, after the first conversion table, in respect to past bit patterns. The present disclosure is applicable to a compression encoding device that compresses and encodes audio signals, for example.
