Abstract:
Provided are: a connector terminal material which can have improved abrasion resistance and heat resistance; and a method for manufacturing a connector terminal. The connector terminal material according to the present invention comprises a base material in which at least a surface layer comprises copper or a copper alloy and a silver-nickel alloy layer which covers at least a portion of the surface of the base material and has a thickness of 0.5 to 50 μm inclusive, wherein the nickel content in the silver-nickel alloy layer is 0.05 to 2.0 at% inclusive. It is preferred that a nickel layer comprising nickel or a nickel alloy is provided between the base material and the silver-nickel alloy layer, wherein the thickness of the nickel layer is 0.5 to 5 μm inclusive.
